Welcome! Blogging with your health in mind

February 26, 2015

At Public Health we strive to make an impact in your life by promoting healthy lifestyles and protecting the health of your community. By offering reliable and trustworthy information, programs and services, Public Health is helping individuals, families and communities stay well.

Recognizing the surge in interest around social media, it became clear how important it would be for Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health to not only meet you in our clinics, classrooms and community, but also in the ever-growing online world.

We offer many programs and services to help everyone in our communities be as healthy as possible. Parents who are expecting can benefit from prenatal education, breastfeeding clinics, publicly funded immunization, speech and language services, dental clinics and parenting classes. Teens and adults can come to us for confidential birth control, sexual health services and testing for STI’s and HIV. Businesses, educators and healthcare providers look to us for assistance too. As you can imagine, behind these programs are trained and knowledgeable experts who have a wealth of knowledge to share.

Today, I am extending a warm welcome on behalf of the Public Health team, as we launch our Stay Well WDG blog, a new online community where our Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health team will share their knowledge, expertise, tips and ideas, along with reliable, up-to-date information, to help you and your family achieve a safe and healthy lifestyle.

Be sure to subscribe to the Stay Well WDG blog to hear the latest on healthy living from our very own team of experts.

Happy reading!
