POLICY STATEMENT:
It is the policy of the Board of Health (BOH) for Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH) that electronic participation in meetings will be utilized as an enabling tool for effective BOH operations and organizational governance, and that:
- Members of the BOH electronically participating in these meetings are governed and regulated according to the guidelines and procedures set out within this policy as well as the operational by-laws of the BOH and the Municipal Act; and
- Members of the BOH who elect to participate through electronic means must participate under the procedures CA.45.02.513 Electronic Participation at Board of Health Meetings.
SCOPE:
This policy applies to all members of the WDGPH BOH.
DEFINITIONS:
Electronic participation – means attendance by video conferencing or teleconferencing.
