Our mission

The Health Unit works to improve the health of communities and individuals in Wellington, Dufferin, and Guelph through promotion, protection, and prevention.

Our core values

A community-centred focus

Our primary focus is on the health and well-being of our communities. We weigh the impact of our choices and decisions in relation to community requirements, and we use creativity and flexibility in responding to identified community needs. We build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with external stakeholders and partners.

Professionalism

We establish positive internal and external relationships, both personally and professionally, supported through effective interaction and communication. Our community- focused services are founded on evidence and best-or promising- practices.
